Subbing

In order to sub, you will require the following:

  • 6,000 HP
  • 6,600 MP
  • Ard Ioc Deum (10)

Much to my dismay when writing this, there are a grand total of thirteen stat plans on PDA, all of which I’m going to confirm before I add them. For now, I’m going to skip down to the class ratings and then get on the stat plans.

Until further notice, these are not confirmed, I am simply listing them here so it’s easier for me to find them later, in order to confirm them. As I confirm them, I will change their text color to black. The ones in red text are not confirmed.

I’ll just say right now, there is little to no point (viably speaking, if you’re doing it for fun knock yourself out) waiting for adorations to make a Wizard sub. Everything you’ll need really you can get with 0 adors. I’m listing all of them for variety’s sake, in case anyone wants to use them.

Warrior [Dark Knight]

Rating – 1.5/5

Pros – Fas is nice, especially with the addition of the Staff of Ages/Brilliance, making all spells 1line. MSPG will be nice for any path really once you get enough MP. You might be able to solo SOME areas.

Cons – Dark Knight, though the name sounds cooler, just doesn’t compare to a Paladin in most aspects. Paladins can solo some areas from the get go, albeit slowly, where as it might take a Dark Knight longer in order to build up the bases to do so. Ard Cradh is usually more beneficial to bashing power than fas, but again there may be some areas you can solo. You don’t get Dion until AB30 and for 100m, so that in itself will hinder you a lot when hunting.

Essential Skills/Spells – Depends on your stat plan.

Monk [Wink]

Rating – 3/5

Pros – Despite having in my opinion the most comical sub name in DA, they have a lot more going for them than Dark Knights. Winks get Dion, and as above, being able to fas yourself is nice. Winks have a much easier time soloing than Dark Knights (Monks have an easier time than Warriors in general), because if you so choose, when you go Druid you can be Komodas for Cold Blood to heal yourself.  MSPG once you get enough MP for it to be decent, is also nice.

Cons – You will not hunt as fast as a Pronk. You don’t have Ard Cradh, and in most areas it’s a bigger asset than fas.

Required Skills/Spells – Depends on your stat plan.

Rogue [Wigue]

Rating – 2.5/5

Pros – Wigues, while not as good as Progues at either hunting or arena, are still somewhat useful. Fas is nice, and being able to 2man Nobis with a Priz is nice as well (you can steal their mana, but then again so can a Progue). MSPG is nice at high MP.

Cons – You won’t compare to a Progue, sadly. The only thing that you will have that they don’t, is fas and MSPG.

Required Skills/Spells – Depends on your stat plan.

Wizard [Wiest]

Rating – 5/5

Pros – Finally, we arrive at the Wiest. I saved the best for last this time. Wiests … where do I start? They can heal, aite, AND fas, as well as kill effectively once they get Ard Deo Searg at AB50. A Wiest used to be able to 2man Nobis mob rooms with a Rizard early on, but Kru has since then nerfed DSG to the ground, giving it a 5 second aether. That being said, Wiests have hands down the best defensive spell set in the entire game. You will ALWAYS be in demand for hunts, if for no other reason than because you can fas, aite, cradh, and heal all at the same time. The wizard spell set compliments the Priest very well, in some areas being able to kill with your elemental spells.

Cons – You don’t get Mesmerize, Deo Searg, or Cursed Tunes like Pure Paths do, but you get ADS at AB50 so that makes up for it a bit. You won’t be able to solo most areas until you get higher bases, but that shouldn’t prove a problem at all since you’re useful in any hunting area in the game.

Essential Skills/Spells – Depends on your stat plan.

If you can verify one of these stat plans (screenshot your stats, and your spellbook, upload it to imgur.com and mail them to Senkei) I will give you credit below.

Credit goes to Kadok for verifying the Economic Wizard stat plan.

Credit goes to the lovely Silkira for verifying the Lord/Lady of Thunder stat plan.
